Judith Bridgland

Profile

Born in Horsham, Victoria, Australia, Judith came to live in Glasgow, Scotland in 1965. She graduated from the University of Glasgow with Master of Arts with Honours in History of Fine Art and English Literature in 1984. In 1997 she was elected Artist Member of Paisley Art Institute. She was awarded the MacRoberts Open Prize in 1999.

She has had several one-person shows in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Burford and regularly exhibits at major exhibitions and Art Fairs, throughout the UK, including the London Art Fair and the Glasgow Art Fair and internationally in Ireland, Russia and Sweden.

Her paintings are in private collections in England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, USA, Bermuda, Australia, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

Her works are also in corporate collections with Sophos Plc Global Headquarters, The Royal Bank of Scotland World Headquarters, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, British Midland (on permanent exhibition in the Executive Lounge at Glasgow International Airport). Her work is also owned as part of the Helen Cargill Thomson Collection, gifted to the University of Strathclyde.
