After graduating in Graphic Arts at John Moores University, Liverpool; Nathan studied Fine Art Painting at Hull University and now lectures and paints in the North East. His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the UK and the US and is held in several public and private collections.
Many of his works deal with the juxtaposition of two points of focus, the close-up and the distant panorama, – as part of one canvas. The views presented are not however, an authentic record of a specific place or time. The visible world becomes reconfigured into ideal states recognising the abstract quality of reality and painting’s two dimensional nature.
